Watch Pacquiao vs Cotto - Fire Power

MANNY PACQUIAO VS MIGUEL COTTO - FIRE POWER Manny Pacquiao will meet Miguel Cotto on Nov. 14 at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas, Nevada. Neither Pacquiao nor Cotto is ever in a dull fight. The two in the ring together is certain to produce fireworks. The bout - at a mutually agreed upon weight limit of 145 pounds - will be shown on HBO pay-per-view.
Slowly but surely, Manny Pacquiao is picking up more speed and more intensity in his training for the November 14 battle with Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico.“Manny’s improving each passing day,” top trainer Freddie Roach told the Bulletin after watching the lethal-hitting Filipino lefty rack up his 24th round of sparring at the Shape Up Gym in Baguio City.
Before flying to Los Angeles for a one-day photo shoot with Kobe Bryant for a leading sports apparel company, Manny Pacquiao revealed that he will bat for a catch weight of 142-143 lbs for the proposed November 14 match with welterweight champion Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico. While admitting that negotiations are running smoothly, Pacquiao said the two parties have yet to agree on the revenue split and the catch weight although the Puerto Rican press has reported that it'll be at 145 lbs.
MANNY PACQUIAO VS MIGUEL COTTO - FIRE POWER Pacquiao's speed seems to be the major issue for all of his opponents. When he fought David Diaz in June of 2008, the speed advantage for Pacquiao was just ridiculous. Diaz during a post fight interview said, " It felt like the f'n referee was hitting me too." So the question is, can his speed overwhelm Miguel Cotto as well? Cotto has proven how tough he is with impressive wins over Zab Judah, Shane Mosley, and more recently Joshua Clottey. He came up short against Antonio Margarito, but I hesitate to count that against him because of the big ass asterisk that has been rightfully stamped next to Margarito's name.
MANNY PACQUIAO VS MIGUEL COTTO - FIRE POWER It matters little to Top Rank promoter Bob Arum that Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto are each regarded as among the world’s 10 finest boxers. Arum is simply thrilled that the fight between them that he finalized last week while on vacation in Israel and Italy will, in fact, be a fight. Arum said Monday that Pacquiao and Cotto will meet in a fight with a 145-pound weight limit on Nov. 14 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on HBO Pay Per View. Pacquiao is a unanimous No. 1 in the Yahoo! Sports poll of the world’s top boxing writers. Cotto is sixth and that alone should make for an intriguing matchup.
From all reports, Manny Pacquiao’s training camp in Baguio City, Philippines has been picking up much intensity as his sparring sessions with both undefeated Shawn Porter and Lightweight contender Urbano Antillon have been brisk and fasted paced. A recent name to add to the mix is that of Jose Luis Castillo, as the former Lightweight king is set to arrive in Manila today and begin sparring with Pacquiao this coming Saturday.

Mayweather Jr vs Marquez - Numero Uno

Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Juan Manuel Marquez, the HBO Pay-Per-View fight which known as “Number One / Numero Uno” originally was scheduled last July 18, 2009… but as Mayweather had his training, he suffered a rib injury which forced the postponement of the said match. The fight will now rescheduled in the conjunction with the Mexican Independence Day which traditionally a huge boxing weekend. FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR. VS JUAN MANUEL MARQUEZ
On Mayweather Jr. vs Marquez, Mayweather said “I am relieved to be cleared to fight as I was already lookings forward to getting back into the ring”, Mayweather’s opponent which he able to defeat by TKO was Engleand’s Ricky Hatton which was also beaten by Pacquiao last May 2, 2009 by TKO in 2nd round ONLY. Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Juan Manuel Marquez - September 19, 2009

Its Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Juan Manuel Marquez. This is a comeback fight after years Mayweather Jr. had announced his retirement. Obvious reason here is that Mayweather Jr. tried to claim back his crown as the best pound-for-pound boxer ever and so Juan Manuel Marquez will be the first to taste this comeback. Mayweather Jr. believes that he is still the king of the ring and wants to prove it once again, its not Manny Pacquiao... its still him. But Mayweather Jr. must defeat Juan Manuel Marquez first and that would be on September 19, 2009 at MGM Grand Arena.
Juan Manuel Marquez is not just one easy fighter to defeat, even Manny Pacquiao had the hard time beating this Mexican boxer. Juan Manuel Marquez will surely give Mayweather Jr. a good fight, provided his age will not affect much his speed just like what we used to see him. Orthodox stance as a weapon will be enough for Mayweather Jr.
As for Mayweather Jr., he had a wholesome record before he announced his retirement. Just as a basis for a tough fighter to beat. The question for Mayweather Jr. is that Is he still that wholesome fighter inside the ring still? After for some quiet of time being away from the ring, it is natural for people to raise such question… but the answer depend on how hard Mayweather Jr. work out on his training as a preparation for this fight. Its just like Jordan going back (1st comedback) from baseball to basketball.
The real deal here is… if you want to see a fight of the century which is “Pacquiao vs Mayweather Jr.” you must be thinking of Mayweather Jr. hopefully wins against Marquez. But if Marquez defeat Mayweather (as most people says its impossible, yet anythings possible) well what would be next then? Let’s just wait till September 19… Remember… there was still a closed deal fight between Pacquiao vs Cotto on November.
Pacquiao vs Cotto - The Making
Pacquiao who just proved himself that he is the pound for pound king would definitely be the crowd’s favourite if his match against Cotto will be materialized. Remember Pacquiao said after his triumph against Hatton.. “More or less I’ll take Mayweather Jr.” But unfortunately it was not materialized. Would this be another early finisher kind of match against Cotto? Or will just settle for a late TKO in the late round… maybe a KO in the middle of the rounds… all of these are in favor for Pacquiao. Would you think for a split or unanimous decision?

Pacquiao VS Mayweather
Pound for pound, should we say the best pound for pound boxer of all time.... That was Mayweather Jr... no doubt about that, then came his retirement well ofcourse somebody would occupy that empty throne till May 2, 2009... Manny Pacquiao did it.Now here's the deal, so happened the retired pound for pound king is still capable of boxing (definitely) so most of us will surely like the idea of Pacquiao vs Mayweather Jr huh! This match will determine who will really the pound for pound king is.... is it the returning champ, or the reigning people's champ.

After the Pacquiao Hatton match, Pacquiao said that hopefully his next match will be against Mayweather.... because who else is worthy of fighting Pacquiao this days except Mayweather.
Sometime last week, a news had came out that Pacquiao vs Mayweather Jr fight would just become a dream that could not fulfill... because both party do not agree in terms of money. Somw also added that the schedule of fight is not favorable for Mayweather Jr. because he still has a fight from other boxer before Pacquiao.
Hushhh!!! don't loose hope... both of them are definitely healthy till next year, so it is possible that their match would take place sometime in the next year (hopefully)
